Privacy Policy
Effective October 11, 2026
Gutshot is a free poker game played with fake chips. It is run by Jose Garcia, an individual developer ("we", "us"). This page explains what we collect and why. The short version: we collect only what we need to run the game, and we don't sell it, show ads, or track you.
What we collect
- Email address, so we can send you login codes.
- Display name, shown to other players at your table.
- Gameplay data needed to run tables, such as your fake-chip balance and your seat and table state.
- Crash and error diagnostics, such as stack traces and device or browser details, so we can fix bugs.
We don't collect payment details (there is nothing to buy), contacts, location, or advertising identifiers.
How we use it
Only to run Gutshot: signing you in, seating you at tables, keeping your chip balance, sending login codes or table invites you ask for, and fixing problems.
Who helps us run it
We use a few service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Railway hosts our servers and database.
- Resend delivers our emails (login codes and invites).
- Sentry receives crash and error reports.
We don't sell or rent your data, and we don't share it for advertising. There are no ads and no third-party tracking in Gutshot.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings in the app. This permanently deletes your email address, display name, and chips. Error reports already sent to Sentry are deleted automatically when Sentry's retention period ends.
Age
Gutshot is a poker game and is recommended for players 18 and older. It is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from children.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections and stored with our hosting provider. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep what we hold to a minimum.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
